The Choir works of Town Cultural Centre BREZNO The Choir of the town Brezno In the town Brezno singing and music have long tradition in cooperation of two cultural institutions Educational Town Centre and Town music school its teacher J.Sougek, a female choir was foundet in the year 1977 and started to prepare its program. Already in 1984 the choir realised a successful trip to the Choir Festival in Bekescaba /Hungary/. In this year new conductor - Dr.Milan Pazurik started his work with the choir. In the year oftent anyversary of its acivity /1988/ the choir has goot its present name the Brezno City Choir.Important change was realized in 1990 - the male sectionwas established and the choir started to study compositions for mixed choirs. Today the choir is one of best in the middle Slovakia region. His performaces were gratefully acceptet in many towns and spas in Slovakia and Czech Republick,at festivals in Hungary, Rom nia, Poland and Italy. Slovak Broodcast has recordet several compositions in its performace. Dr. Milan Pazurik CSc. teacher of Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica, stays at the head of de Brezno choir since the year 1984.
